Plan your project.

Before starting the search for a roofing contractor, you should have a good idea of the work you want to be done.

Then, list all the project information your contractor may need to know, like:

• roof's approximate square footage
• desired roofing materials
• budgetary constraints
• scheduling requests or restrictions

Require a written contract.

• a timetable for completion
